A young boy was flown to Starship Hospital after swallowing a one dollar coin.
The child was taken to hospital from Onetangi, Waiheke Island, by the Auckland-based Westpac Rescue Helicopter on Thursday.
The Rescue Helicopter Trust said the coin became lodged in his throat and he was in a moderate condition when taken to the hospital.
