A forestry worker who took a 200 metre tumble down a Bay of Plenty cliff face last week remains in a stable condition in intensive care.
The 21-year-old Rotorua man was replanting pine trees about 4km inland from Hawai, north of Opotiki, when he lost his footing and plunged down the cliff last Monday.
He was flown to Whakatane Hospital in a critical condition before being transferred to Tauranga.
He suffered a broken leg, a broken collarbone, and head and neck pain.
A Tauranga Hospital spokeswoman said he remained in a stable condition today.
