Residents in a south Auckland suburb this morning were greeted by the sight of a naked woman walking in their neighbourhood.
Counties-Manukau police spokeswoman Ana-Mari Gates-Bowey said the woman was spotted in Papakura some time before 7am.
"She was seen walking up and down the street and on a grass area around Wood St, near the police station,'' she told NZPA.
Streets were cordoned off in Papakura and the woman was subsequently taken to Middlemore Hospital.
