Police have decided against laying charges over a complaint that former National Party MP and top level rugby player Paul Quinn allegedly struck a man during an argument over a parking space.
Wellington tactical response manager Inspector Terry van Dillen said police had completed their enquiries into the fracas which occured at Westpac's Courtenay Place branch last month.
"As a result of reviewing CCTV footage and interviewing witnesses, no charges are being laid against either party.''
Mr Quinn initially denied he was involved in the incident but last week issued a statement confirming he was involved in the "disagreement''.
The other man involved told the Herald the row began when he parked in a space Mr Quinn wanted.
