One person has died after a crash between a car and a ute on the outskirts of Hamilton late this afternoon.
The two vehicles collided on Rotokauri Road, in the Hamilton suburb of Nawton, just before 5pm, a fire service spokesman said.
No one was trapped.
One person appeared to have died immediately, and two other people were taken to Waikato Hospital in a stable condition, police said.
The Te Rapa serious crash unit was investigating the crash.
