Police have named the teenage cyclist killed in Christchurch yesterday.
Matthew James Rhind, 19, was hit by a van at the intersection of Awatea and Carrs Road in Halswell around 7am.
Police and the serious crash unit were still investigating, but said initial reports indicated Mr Rhind had crossed the centre line into the van's path.
Witnesses were asked to contact police.
