A 43-year-old man appeared in court today charged with sexually violating a woman two years ago.
Wayne Ricardo Schwamm, 43, of Feilding, was remanded without plea when he appeared in Palmerston North District Court charged over the attack on a 22-year-old woman.
Police, who arrested and charged Schwamm yesterday in the light of new forensic evidence, said the woman was attacked in the early hours of May 22, 2009, as she walked along Fitzherbert Avenue in Palmerston North.
