A man questioned over the disappearance of Vanessa Pickering has filed his appeal for continued name suppression at the Christchurch Court House today.
He was granted until 5pm today to get the application filed, after signalling the appeal when Christchurch District Court Judge Michael Crosbie refused suppression yesterday.
The man is in custody facing charges of assault with intent to commit sexual violation, sexual violation, unlawful detention, and assault on a child.
It is understood the High Court may hear the suppression appeal next week.
In the meantime, suppression continues.
