Two Auckland teenagers who allegedly shone a laser at the police Eagle helicopter were back in court today.
Joshua O'Hare-Knight, 19, and James Spiers, 17, appeared in Auckland District Court charged with endangering transport.
The charges were laid after they allegedly shone a green laser at the helicopter while it was searching for a stolen car in the Auckland suburb of Mt Albert on May 7.
Police said the alleged actions were "very dangerous".
Spiers, whose name suppression was lifted today, and O'Hare-Knight will reappear in Auckland District Court on July 11.
