Fashion designer Trelise Cooper's stepdaughter, who pleaded guilty to drug charges, including supplying methamphetamine, has avoided jail.
Nadia Cooper, 34, will instead do 350 hours' community work, serve 12 months' home detention and undergo 12 months' supervision, the New Zealand Herald reported today.
Sentence was handed down Auckland District Court yesterday.
Cooper is the daughter of Trelise Cooper's husband, Jack Cooper.
When the court case first came to light in late 2007, Trelise Cooper said the family's relationship with Nadia had been estranged and she was distressed to hear about the charges.
However, the family would be there for Nadia if she accepted their help.
