Strong quake shakes Vanuatu

A strong earthquake has struck the Vanuatu Islands in the Pacific. 

The 6.3-magnitude quake occurred at 9.23am on Sunday (local time), 83km north/north-west of the capital Port-Vila, at a depth of 25km, USGS said.

There were no tsunami warnings or immediate reports of damage.
