A man with gang connections on the run from police for more than a month has been arrested in Masterton.
Police had been hunting Paul Rodgers, 38, known as Porky Rimene, in relation to the theft of money and a motorcycle engine in Masterton on February 11.
Detective Senior Sergeant Sean Hansen of Wairarapa CIB said Rimene was arrested in Masterton last night.
He will appear in Masterton District Court today charged with aggravated robbery, demanding with intent to steal and participating in an organised criminal group.
Police earlier called for public sightings of Rimene but warned he should not be approached.
