Paula and Geoff married in December last year in a Christmas wedding held on the Taieri.

Where and when we met: Geoff and I met one Christmas evening at the Woolshed nightclub and bar. Both out for a fun time, our eyes connected and our Christmas wishes came true.

The proposal: After dating for about five-six years we decided to take the plunge and the proposal was very non-romantic. I (Paula) saw a beautiful diamond ring I loved so we decided together that it would be an engagement ring. A purchase and an announcement were made!

The venue: Our wedding followed several years later, on December 17th, 2011, another Christmas surprise! Our ceremony was at Broxburn Park, North Taieri. We chose this venue as it was an elegant garden full of charm, beauty and a pond, a beautiful setting to say ''We do''. It was peaceful and relaxing, something we wanted for our guests: to have a sense of enjoyment and a place to share our special day.

The reception was held at the Wingatui Community Hall, lovingly decorated by ourselves.

The dress: The dress was ''just perfect for me'', everything I could have wanted ina dress. Tracey from Elite Bridal assisted my choice, listening to my thinking, ideas, desires and wants = finding the ''perfect dress''.Tracey made the bridesmaids' dresses and, in a stunning deep purple, they also were just perfect!

The flowers: Flowers followed a colour theme and had a fragrance that was just perfect. Bec from French Kiss is an amazingly creative person who delivered on the day exactly what we had asked for and more!

Catering: Just Essence fed our guests at the ceremony with the most delicious nibbles and followed through with a beautiful, very plentiful and tasty evening meal and dessert.

Dessert also included our cake from Rach's Cakes in Balclutha, adorned by our very own Mickey and Minnie that our niece brought back all the way from Disneyland!

Highlight of the day: Our highlight of the day would be having all of our family and friends sharing our love for each other with us, and the amazing support from all the helpers on the day to make our wedding so special.

Photographer: Last but definitely NOT least was our amazing photographer Lisa Reid. Lisa was able to capture all of the detail and the love that was shared onthe day.
