White with green and black trim and, just like money burning a hole in your back pocket, it goes fast, too.
This weekend, a Bentley Continental GT3 will make its motor racing debut at the Highlands Motorsport Park during the Highlands 101 weekend.
Worth about $1 million, it is one of only nine built and the only one in the southern hemisphere.
Driver Peter Edwards, of Melbourne, said the 1310kg vehicle, powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, had only been on a track once since it arrived in Australia, where its owner, Maranello Motorsport, is based ''a few weeks ago''.
''We had a shakedown at Phillip Island in Melbourne before we got her straight on the boat to New Zealand.''
The car had not been out in public yet, but those who had seen it ''loved it''.
''It's something different. A shiny new toy is always fun.''
Edwards, who was used to driving a Ferrari, posted lap times of about 1min 36sec on the 4.1km track at Highlands during practice yesterday, and hoped to improve on that as he got to terms with the 600hp car.
''It has a lot of front grip and power, which probably makes its lap time a lot more different from a Ferrari. The front engine versus a mid engine gives it a different point of inertia.''
It was also more comfortable than other race cars.
The Bentley was built in the United Kingdom by M-Sport.
Edwards said he ''didn't really'' have any goals for the weekend's race.
''This race has got an amazing group of drivers and cars, and really our aim is to understand the car, learn about it, and bring it home straight.''
He was not nervous about driving a vehicle worth so much.
''Once it's got its first dent in it, you stop rubbing it with a hanky.''
