Runners made their way across flat, grassy paddocks, up and down steep inclines, over logs and past sheep on courses ranging from 1.9km-3.2km.
Head physical education teacher Ann-Maree Chatterton said the mix of terrain and uneven ground tested both endurance and focus.
Liam Davis won the first race of the day, with an inversion fog burning off between the start and finish lines.
"It was cold," he said of his race.
"And the hill was quite hard."
Ms Chatterton said the annual cross-country was a tradition worth "upholding", helping to teach "perseverance and resilience".
Teachers aimed for it to be a positive experience, encouraging participants to either walk or run the course in their house colours.
"Students appreciate the chance to push themselves in a supportive environment — and they definitely remember it."
