Mischa Thomlinson is living her dreams.
An aspiring singer and musician, the year 7 Cromwell College pupil had her first taste of the big time when she recorded a song at Parachute Studios in Auckland.
Mischa won Newstalk ZB’s talent competition "Star of Christmas" on Christmas Day last year and was flown to Auckland for a studio tour and to record a Christmas carol with Popstars host and former frontman of New Zealand band Zed Nathan King last month.
The experience was a dream come true, Mischa said.
"It was awesome. This is what I want to do."
While she was initially nervous, the studio team and coaching from King helped a great deal, Mischa said.
The song, a cover of Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas, will be released later this year.
