Burglars smashed an Oamaru storefront and grabbed more than $5000 of electronics early yesterday, police say.
Sergeant Stu Dowling said police were alerted to the break-in at Spark Store in Thames St about 3.15am.
Sgt Dowling said three offenders allegedly smashed the glass storefront before entering and taking electronic devices estimated to be worth more than $5000.
The vehicle the suspects used was also reported stolen from Gore yesterday, he said.
Broken glass was littered across the footpath outside the store as police attended the scene yesterday.
Inquiries were ongoing after reviewing CCTV and speaking with nearby witnesses, Sgt Dowling said. — Allied Media
