Car crashes off bridge, ends up in house

Witnesses are being sought following a crash in Palmerston last weekend.

A car crashed off the railway overbridge in Palmerston at 12.50am last Sunday, plunged down the bank, coming to rest in the unoccupied bedroom of a house on Ronaldsay St.

The car was on fire and its occupant left the scene.An Oamaru police spokesman said yesterday officers were talking to one person.

Further witnesses were sought.
