Discussions on drought

The effects of drought on farming practice will be discussed at a meeting at Five Forks this month.

The meeting will be held in the Five Forks hall on May 11 at 3.30pm.

It follows a meeting in Ranfurly on Monday, organised by the Otago Adverse Events Trust, where advice and information was given about how to deal with drought.

The South Canterbury Rural Assistance Trust is also organising a "dealing with drought conditions" meeting at the Cattle Creek hall, in the Hakataramea Valley, on May 4 at 3.30pm.
