Anglers have the chance to tell their fishy stories, which may eventually be included in a booklet, through an event being planned by the Oamaru Library as part of Victorian Heritage Week celebrations from November 17 to 21.
The library wants to gather together a collection "of real fishing stories", both freshwater and sea, for display.
Librarians Chris Meech and Jean Rivett, who are putting the project together, want written personal stories that reflect the trials and joys of fishing throughout the district, by November 10.
