Four people, including two American tourists, were taken to hospital after a double-cab utility crashed on State Highway 8 south of Omarama about 3pm yesterday.
The utility was was being driven from Wanaka towards Omarama by a Geraldine woman with her husband in the front passenger seat.
He sustained suspected neck injuries and was flown by the Otago Regional Rescue Helicopter to Dunedin Hospital, accompanied by his wife, for a check-up.
The two American tourists, who were staying with the Geraldine couple, were taken by ambulance to Oamaru Hospital for check-ups.
