Oamaru police are seeking the public's assistance to identify a caucasian man in relation to a number of incidents in Maheno, Herbert and Palmerston earlier this month.

They would also like to identify the person driving a black BMW which was involved in an incident in Oamaru on April 5.

The BMW has a smashed windscreen on the driver's side and a sun roof.

Detective Warren Duncan, of Oamaru, said he was unable to go into any detail about the incidents.

Members of the public can contact Det Duncan on 021 191 4807, the Oamaru Police station on (03) 433-1400, or phone the emergency number 111.
