Police are investigating an allegation of intimidation at the Shell Severn service station on Monday night.
Yesterday, Constable Gary Mahuika said an unknown male approached three Oamaru youths, aged 14 and 15.
He told him they were lucky, because he would have stabbed them if they were Maori.
No knife was produced and he left in a car, believed to be silver-blue, at 9.30pm.
