The North Otago Highland Pipe Band performed Amazing Grace at Oamaru’s Lookout Point as the sun went down on Good Friday.
The poignant tribute was initiated by a former Oamaru resident, who now lives on the other side of the world and has fond memories of the band.
The performance was filmed and may become an annual event.
