Police find crashed car but no driver

What happened to the driver of a severely damaged vehicle sitting on the side of the road near Palmerston is a mystery for now.A police spokeswoman said police were notified about 12.15pm yesterday of a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Hughes Rd and Palmerston-Dunback Rd, near Palmerston.

When officers arrived they found a very damaged power pole, a smashed car and no driver. 

The spokeswoman said police were making inquiries into the matter.
