A new website being set up to promote Omarama is expected to be online by next month.
The Omarama Promotions Group is setting up the website in conjunction with MediaSuite and has developed the brand "Discover Omarama - a mountain community in the middle of everywhere".
It encourages people to spend more time in the Waitaki Valley, staying longer or moving there permanently. The website will also provide information on community activities, local services, businesses and trades.
The group believes the website will reach a broad national and international audience, including tourists, special interest groups, holidaymakers, outdoor enthusiasts and those who may want to live or do business in Omarama.
The site will promote Omarama's strategic location, its natural beauty and excellent weather.
