The 1000sqm apartment building, left, is now connected by a walkway to the 1000sqm community wing, also framed and roofed. The care centre's east and west wings were also progressing well, site manager Peter Stringer told the Otago Daily Times at the beginning of the month.

The cleared land south of the buildings will provide for a car park next to to the community wing and construction of a road, which will be surrounded by villas, is under way. Stage one of the project is scheduled for completion at the end of July 2017. Construction of the villas will begin as stage two.
