Transported back in time

A heritage programme for North Otago schools has started in Oamaru, with Maya Murray (10), of Kakanui School, and Juliet Brunton (right) making a bullock wagonat the Custom House art gallery in Oamaru last week.

The programme is being run over the two weeks leading up to the annual Victorian Heritage Celebrations, which have a transport theme this year.

The celebrations begin on November 12 and culminate with the Victorian Fete on November 16.

Schools will also visit Totara Estate and Clark's Mill.
