Queenstown has been well represented by awards based on the best experiences United States visitors have had in New Zealand.
Each year New Zealand Travel Inc, a United States wholesaler, tabulates surveys completed by their customers and presents the top awards as voted by those travellers.
In the latest round, the 2009 awards, six of the resort's businesses are featured.
Over The Top helicopters, Judy MacKenzie, from EP Tours, and Real Journeys all made the Top 10 Experiences in New Zealand.
Blanket Bay was recognised as one of the top luxury lodges in New Zealand; Pencarrow Lodge was the top boutique accommodation, and The Spire Hotel gained an honourable mention.
New Zealand Travel Inc has been sending tourists to New Zealand for more than 25 years and has been recognised for excellence in awards given by elite travel publications Condé Nast Traveller and Andrew Harper Hideaway.
Over The Top chief executive Louisa Patterson was delighted to receive the award.
