The Arrowtown Bulls hit second gear during the second half of their game against Upper Clutha in Wanaka on Saturday, scoring 25 points in 40 minutes.
After the first 40 minutes, the score was 3-0 to the visitors in what Arrowtown coach Hayden Finch described as a ''very, very physical'' match. Arrowtown pulled away in the second half with two tries to Adam Hubber, one to Eddie Sefo and two conversions to Kane Dodds, who was named player of the dayThe Wakatipu Premiers had been scheduled to play its B team, the Wakatipu Wanderers. However, the B team defaulted due to injuries.
This weekend, Arrowtown will take on Cromwell B at Jack Reid Park and the Wakatipu Premiers will face Cromwell A at the Queenstown Rec Ground.
Kickoff for both games is 2.30pm.
