For more than 20 years the group has set up its pikelet production line in Wanaka's National Bank to raise money for the Cancer Society.
Tens of thousands of pikelets have been sold during that time, mostly to local businesses, which support the cause year after year.
The Lions ladies were at the bank cooking up a storm yesterday and will be back to make more pikelets today with help from Olympic rower Emma Twigg, who is an ambassador for the ANZ National Bank.
Upper Clutha Lions president Bronwyn Bain said about 300 dozen pikelets had been ordered this year. Customers give a donation of their choice for a dozen pikelets and last year's fundraiser generated about $4500.
