Cars have made way for flatspins, can-cans and supermans which will be performed tomorrow night before a crowd expected to number 5000.

While the ramps and other features in last year's event were nothing to look down on, course co-designer Kelly McGarry said features had been enlarged for 2013.

''We've made everything a bit bigger.''

A new feature includes the quarter pipe at the end of the course, pictured being built by volunteer Emmerson Wilken.

Last year, the stunt competition was labelled as New Zealand's first BMX slopestyle. This year, it is the only Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour event to take place in New Zealand.

The prize pool is $10,000.

Mr McGarry said 50 entrants had so far signed up to jump off the scaffolding and wow the crowd at the Ballarat St
