Wakatipu solo artists and duos have until the end of April to step up for a chance to perform as the support act for top New Zealand singer-songwriter Greg Johnson, when he plays in Queenstown, on Saturday, June 4.

The bestselling multi-award winning artist and his three-piece band embark on a nine-venue national tour, which takes in Prime Waterfront Restaurant and Bar.

More than 70 solo artists or duos from around the country have already answered Johnson's invitation to submit a track along with brief biography via his website, for Johnson to personally select his support act at each venue.

The chosen act receive a pair of tickets to his show, the opportunity to sell merchandise at the show and a small performance fee.

WEDNESDAY
7.30pm: Taxi Trio play jazz in Barmuda. Free.
8.30pm: Vocalist Pearly McGrath and acoustic guitarist Shay Muddle perform in The World Bar. Free.
