The Department of Labour says it is still investigating a Queenstown woman's complaint she was injured by Alpine Aqualand's fast-speed hydroslide two months ago.
The slide was closed by Lakes Leisure more than a month ago.
A draft independent review of the slide is circulating among project partners, the Otago Daily Times learnt yesterday, but there is no fixed date for the review document being released to the public.
Project manager Ken Gousmett, on behalf of the Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC), plus Lakes Leisure facilities general manager Cam Sheppard, Naylor Love Construction and hydroslide designer and manufacturer Aeromarine Industries Ltd have received the latest draft written by engineer and designer Gary Wenck, of Brisbane-based consultancy Leisure Engineering.
QLDC chief executive Duncan Field said the finished report would be made available, but could not say when.
He declined to discuss the contents of the draft.
"We'd like it finalised as quick as we can get it ... the key issue here is putting right the slide - that's where all our efforts are going."
When asked how any proposed repair or alteration to the slide would be funded, Mr Field said it was the council's view it was an obligation on the contractor, but "that's what the report is going to help us sort out".
Mr Sheppard said yesterday he could not comment on the recommendations in the 16-page draft.
