Summer, winter, autumn, spring - whenever you look at it, and from whichever angle, Arrowtown is picturesque.
But the Arrowtown Business Association is still seeking more entries for the Arrowtown Gold photography competition 2013.
Association secretary Sue Patterson said the aim was for contestants to show the town in its ''various guises and various seasons''.
The competition is open to almost any subject; the only rule is photographs have to be taken in Arrowtown.
''Arrowtown photos are taken so much. We know there's a lot of photos out there.
''We want to encourage others to come in and take them, too.''
All photographs are due on April 5 and will be judged at the Autumn Festival by artist and gallery owner Simon Beadle.
Sections include best Arrowtown townscape or landscape photograph, best Arrowtown leisure activities photograph, best Arrowtown photograph by a school pupil and the grand prize - best photograph.
The grand prize will be a distinctive trophy created for the occasion by the Jade and Opal Factory, based in Arrowtown. The winner will also receive a prize pack to the value of $250 and section winners receive shopping vouchers valued at over $50 each. Photographers may enter up to eight images.
