This jet-boatload of Wakatipu residents and visitors had an adrenaline rush for breakfast on Saturday morning when they were among the first to participate in Shotover Jet's annual ''locals' day'' fundraiser.
More than 800 residents and 200 guests enjoyed ''the world's most exciting jet-boat ride'' in Arthurs Point for $20 an adult and $10 a child. An estimated $10,000 was raised for the Queenstown Lakes Family Centre.
Residents presented a utilities bill dated within the past six months and photo identification to take advantage of the offer.
