Police seized 300 2.5g packets of the psychoactive substance Kush Pink from a Gorge Rd, Queenstown property at 11am on Wednesday.

Senior Constable Julian Cahill said based on information from a concerned member of the public, police executed a search warrant.

The man found in possession of the highs had an interim wholesale licence.

The new ban revoked the interim approvals for all psychoactive substances from May 8 and gives licensees a 14 day window to dispose of the products, so no offence had been committed but police had expected the highs to have been disposed of sooner.

From May 22 it becomes illegal even for interim licence holders to be in possession of the products.
