Wanaka businessman Peter Marshall's category prize in the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards was "great for the business".
Mr Marshall was presented with a 2009 Master Entrepreneur plaque, for leaders of well-established businesses who have shown a commitment to entrepreneurship, this week. Diane Foreman, of Emerald Group, won the overall award.
Mr Marshall founded the marine accessories company Tallon in 2006, and launched a range of products in 2007. The company now has major distribution agreements throughout the world.
