The bands Fat Freddy's Drop and the Black Seeds will headline the Rippon Festival in Wanaka next summer.
The two Wellington-based headline acts will be joined by Little Bushman, Iva Lamkum, Pacific Heights, Minuit, Eru Dangerspiel, Electric Wire Hustle, the Mint Chicks, and Opensouls.
Former Wanaka schoolboy band known as the Slur-Tones will return to its roots to perform at Rippon after winning a coveted "locals" invitation slot.
Slur-Tones band members Fabian Shaw, Jannick Weastell and Alastair Mawhinney are now based in Wellington studying music at tertiary level.
The biennial Rippon Festival has been held for 12 years, making it New Zealand's oldest promoting the music of Kiwi artists, festival director Lynne Christie said.
The event is scheduled for Waitangi Day, February 6, at Rippon Vineyard.
