Skifield ban for tourists

Two tourists caught skiing at Cardrona Alpine Resort without lift tickets on Saturday afternoon have been barred from district skifields for two years.

A 22-year-old man from the UK and a 31-year-old man from South Africa were apprehended by skifield staff at Captain's Basin.

The pair were trespassed from all Queenstown Lakes district skifields for two years and released with a pre-charge warning, after they reimbursed the skifield.

A 28-year-old woman from the Wanaka area, stopped by police on Friday night, will appear in the Queenstown District Court on September 5, charged with driving with a breath-alcohol level of 477mcg.
