Plans for the Wanaka Sports Facility are progressing. Draft design options have been drawn up and further public consultation is scheduled.
The facility's steering group met last Friday to review feedback from the first phase of community consultation on the project, which was held in July.
Queenstown Lakes District Council project manager Ken Gousmett said the group had made some changes to the draft proposal. Once its feedback had been incorporated into a revised draft, relevant stakeholders and the general Wanaka community would have another opportunity for discussion at a meeting tentatively scheduled for September 26.
An analysis of the earlier feedback would be presented, along with a policy report and a description of the proposed facilities mix, Mr Gousmett said.
A further submission period will follow next month.
