First-time ice-carver Lucy Waters, of Albert Town, took second place, and a $500 prize, in the Zumwohl On Ice sculpture competition at Treble Cone skifield yesterday with her "single cone schnapps cooler", while Chris Riley's kea took the $800 first prize. Six sculptors spent two days chipping away at the one-metre tall Christchurch-made ice blocks.
