Rabbit shooting in the Criffel Range will be one of the activities organised for the Georgian rugby team when it visits Wanaka next month.
Queenstown Lakes deputy mayor and Wanaka Community Board chairman Lyal Cocks said the council was working with the Upper Clutha Rugby Club to organise an itinerary for the team from Georgia, when it came to Wanaka on September 8.
At least 25 members of the squad would travel to Wanaka for the promotional visit, which would include a lunch hosted by the rugby club, a four-wheel-drive excursion and a rabbit-shooting experience, Cr Cocks said.
