Excavation work and tree removal to level 5000sq m of vacant land beside Lucas Pl, Frankton for a major campervan rental company is under way.
Tourism Holdings Ltd (THL), which owns and operates Maui, Britz and Backpacker campervans and rental cars, signed a 15-year lease with Shotover Park Ltd for the facility, which includes a 690sq m office and maintenance building.
Shotover Park co-director John Porter said THL expected to be operating from the completed building from February.
A small area around the antenna was leased to Telecom Mobile, Mr Porter said.
