A central Queenstown street has been plunged into darkness this evening after an apparent power cut.
A reporter at the scene said power went out in Searle Lane, home to several popular bars including the Below Zero Ice Bar, shortly before 9pm.
Businesses in the street were unable to process payments and patrons were struggling to navigate the darkened bars, she said.
An Aurora Energy spokesman was not immediately available for comment.
