A near sold-out crowd packed into the Trust Aoraki Tennis Centre as the second edition of ITF World Tennis Tour: Timaru came to a head at the weekend.

New Zealand’s Monique Barry with Australian partner Alexandra Osborne cruised to a victory over Australian pair Amy Stevens and Belle Thompson 6-2, 6-2 to win the women’s double title.

Australian duo Ethan Cook and Tai Leonard Sach had to work hard to defeat the Australian and Japanese pair of Jesse Delaney and Yamato Sueoka 3-6, 6-3, 10-6 in the men’s doubles final.

Australian Enzo Aguiard triumphed 6-3, 6-7, 6-0 over fellow countryman Tai Leonard Sach in the men’s final, while Japan’s Kisa Yoshioka dominated Australian number two seed Alana Subasic 6-2, 6-1 to claim the women’s title.
