On Friday, March 6, the Aorangi Association’s 9-hole tournament was held at the Temuka Golf Club in hot conditions.
An excellent field of 42 women and four men from eight clubs. The Temuka course was in excellent condition and this allowed for some good golf.
Trophy winners were: Best Gross over the field, Judith Tutton (Gleniti) 43 Gross; Best Net Division 1 (0-42.5) Sue McNichol (Temuka) Net 29; Best Net Division 2 (42.6-54) Betty Smith (Temuka) Net 28 on a countback from Sue Burgess (Temuka); Eunipeg Tray (70+age) Brenda Davies (Temuka) Net 35; Men (Lesley Dobbs tankard) Richard Marryatt (Temuka) Net 33.
