The motorcyclist who died at the scene of a crash in the Mackenzie District at the weekend has been named.
Retired Christchurch pharmacist, Jeffrey Alan Ross, 74, died following a collision with a car on State Highway 8 near the Tekapo-Pukaki Canal Bridge about 4.30pm on Sunday.
"Police extend our deepest condolences to Jeffrey’s family and friends during this difficult time," a police spokesperson said.
"Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing."
