Police are investigating a suspicious car fire in Lawrence.
A car crashed into a fence in Gabriels Gully Rd in the town just before midnight yesterday, a police spokeswoman said.
Three people in the car had left the scene before police arrived.
About an hour later, police received a call saying the car was on fire, she said.
Police had spoken to "people of interest'' and inquiries were ongoing.
The car was not stolen, she said.
A Fire Service spokesman said the fire was being treated as suspicious.
