Police have seized more than $15,000 worth of cannabis plants, four rifles and about 130 rounds of ammunition after executing a search warrant on a Kaitangata property yesterday afternoon.
Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen, of Dunedin, said a 43-year-old Kaitangata man was in custody and was due to appear in the Dunedin District Court next week.
"It was a good result.''
He said inquiries were continuing into how the man came to be in possession of the rifles because he did not have a firearms licence.
